Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is a major Hindu festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil. It marks the triumph of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana, symbolizing the power of righteousness. In many places, people enact Ram Leela plays and burn large effigies of Ravana, Meghnath, and Kumbhakarna to signify the destruction of evil. In some traditions, Dussehra also commemorates the victory of Goddess Durga over the buffalo demon Mahishasura. The festival brings people together in joy, reminding everyone that truth and virtue will always prevail.
