Maddi Anjaneya Swamy Temple, located in Guravaigudem near Jangareddygudem in West Godavari district, is a famous shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple is unique because the idol of Anjaneya is seated under a sacred Maddi tree, holding a fruit in one hand and a mace in the other. Devotees believe the idol is swayambhu, making the temple spiritually powerful. Thousands of people visit especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays for blessings, and many perform special prayers for marriage, health, and relief from troubles. The temple’s peaceful surroundings, the ancient Maddi tree, and the strong devotional atmosphere make it one of the most important Hanuman temples in Andhra Pradesh.
